I have an MBA. I’m starting to think it stands for Masters in Bullshit Assembly, because that’s what this is starting to feel like.
What to go to The Campus School? That’s one process. Optional Program, go buy a tent. Want to attend a school that you’re not zoned for, but not the Optional program, get to a computer at 10am on Friday.
But wait…what school am I zoned to attend? Hmm….I’ll go to the MCS website and look. Here is the page:
So I went ahead and updated my blog post on the various options within MCS besides your “home” school, thinking I’d check later and the maps would be there. Since the General Transfer happens this Friday at 10am, this morning I went online to see if the maps were posted. They were not, so I sent another Tweet:
Now comes the interesting part. Here is their response:
Wow. Ok. Wait. Parents who want to attend a school they are not zoned for need to apply online at 10am THIS FRIDAY, but the boundaries of the schools have not been determined?! So I asked a follow-up question, and got quite an answer:
Got that? If you want your child in a school, and you think there is a possibility you might not actually be zoned for that school, you need to apply on Friday.
Two other questions remain. The flyers say: “Parents can test their login information prior to February 15.” WHEN can parents test their login? There is no estimate on that date at this time, but apparently it “will” happen.
HOW MANY spots are available for each grade at each school?
More updates to come as the week unfolds. Here’s hoping the IT folks are ready for 10am on Friday, are you?
