I’m a New England-born and raised mom of two boys who has lived in the South since 1996. My husband and I lived in Charlotte, NC for over 10 years, about 20 months in Little Rock and then settled in Memphis in 2010. By settled I mean we own one house and live in it – a huge relief. If you’d like to learn more about how I ended up in Memphis, read this.
Before motherhood I worked in technology marketing and product management, as well as project management. Today I’m like most moms – a bit of everything – wife, mom, handyman, accountant, nurse, teacher, personal shopper, and more. I also do some marketing consulting work, especially to East Memphis businesses looking to reach out to moms!
When I was a new mom I found a lot of support out of an online, events-focused group in Charlotte that I later came to manage. The group grew from 500 to over 2,000 members under my watch, and I moved on to help run the non-profit organization that founded it – helping to start close to 100 local mom support sites nationwide. I’m a communicator and very information driven, and wasn’t finding the type of online resource I wanted in Memphis, so I figured I’d just start one on my own.
So join me as I stumble around the East Memphis area, viewing Memphis through the eyes of a transplant. If you’re interested in advertising on East Memphis Moms please email me for a media kit. suzanne@eastmemphismoms.com
