The Memphis Area Master Gardeners, District 1 of the National Federation of Garden Clubs, the Friends of the Pink Palace Family of Museums and others, created scores of scarecrows…life-sized, ecological, green, scary, silly, funny and educational scarecrows.  Admission is free on Tuesdays from 1-3pm.

Second Baptist Church
Pumpkin patch opens September 27th, they sell hay and mums and have a great spot for photos.
Monday-Saturday 10am-sunset, Sunday noon-sunset
Proceeds benefit church student ministries and missions.  Cash and check only.  Pumpkin Festival October 25th from 11am-1pm.

Spooky Nights at Shelby Farms
October 3rd – November 1st, Fridays & Saturdays
Haunted trail, headless horseman hayrides, nocturnal nature hikes and more.  Trail is for ages 12+, and this CA article sounds like this entire event is for older kids and adults.
