About Me

I am a Northern/Yankee transplant to Memphis. (I still say “you guys” 90% of the time but have started sneaking in “y’all” 10% of the time.) Born and raised in Central Pennsylvania, I went to the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and moved to Memphis immediately after graduating in 2006, with the intention to “just stay a little” before moving back “home” to The North. Only weeks after moving here, some friends introduced me to a true Memphis Boy and I ended up staying. I’m here for good now.

My first career was in Marketing for a Memphis security company. I got my real estate license, earned my MBA from the University of Memphis, and had my oldest daughter all in the same year. My husband and I opened two restaurants (one has since closed) with a very dear friend, and for awhile I schlepped my baby to the restaurant and she screamed in a Pack & Play while I did my work there. After daughter number two came along, I scaled back from restaurant work but still help from time to time with their website. Today I still practice real estate, occasionally teach yoga, spend a lot of time at my kids’ school, and do a lot of laundry. I’m a member of Junior League of Memphis, DAR, and Germantown Presbyterian Church.

I love spending time online. I feel so blessed to live during a time we have this amazing wealth of information at our fingertips. Over the years I have bounced from being an avid blog reader, to an addicted Facebook user, to a dabbling web designer, to a huge eBay user, and back to Facebook for all the resale sites!

This site was started in 2011 by Suzanne Johnston (LinkedIn). She built this amazing Memphis resource from scratch and I can only hope to continue in her footsteps in a similar manner. She currently lives in Plano, Texas. I purchased this site from her on March 1, 2017.
