Sugar Plum Consignments

Apparently, this is a fairly new consignment store, which was news to me.  I’m still pretty new to town so it’s all new to me!  All I knew is that they are using Facebook and Twitter to chat up what they have, which made me curious enough to go have a look.

This is not a large store, but they work every square inch they’ve got.

One entire circular rack is jeans.  Besides pants, skirts, dresses, and tops there are hats, coats, scarves, jewelry, and more purses than they know what to do with.  I saw purses from Coach, Tommy Hilfiger, Dooney & Bourke (one I had to really work on not buying as I do not need another purse!), Kate Spade and more.  On one rack each item is $5, and these are not winter clothes – it’s stuff you could wear today and this summer.  There is also one section of “vintage” items, which their website details as items from 1920-1980 – quite a range!  They even have plus-sized racks and a small (but very full) rack of maternity clothes (and we all know how great it is to get those second-hand).

This is a great spot to visit if you want something new to wear but you don’t want to pay full price.  I would shop here for everyday “mom” clothes, as well as pieces to wear going out with my husband.  Check it out yourself and see!
