Pools & Other Water Fun

June 4, 2019 by Sally 8 Comments

Looking for a place to swim this summer? Here are several options in our area, some are free and some are private clubs you have to join. I’m a big fan of splash pads (less supervision required) and any attraction that offers a little “splash” to cool off.

I can’t believe I’m reading this in 2016. Not all Jews look alike. We come in every shade with different eye colors and hair colors. I am Jewish with blond hair and green eyes.
Yes the hitter youth had blonde hair and blue eyes. But did you know that many German Jews and Austrian Jews etc etc were murdered in the holocaust and they had blonde hair and light eyes too. I know because my ancestors were Austrian Jews and they were blonde and had light eyes and tiny noses. These stereotypes are so annoying but know that if you took your son to the pool I’m sure he would make friends. Because children are for the most part sweet and don’t care about ethnicity or religion. Ignorant adults could stand to learn a lot by watching how children love and accept others without judgement.

Ruth, I’m not sure how you could’ve gotten anything derogatory out of the author’s statement that you don’t have to be Jewish to join the Memphis Jewish Community Center. She is simply stating a fact that we, the readers, might need to know. I must admit that question popped into my head. It had nothing to do with discrimination or ignorance as your comment implies.
